Today Paphos, situated on the islands south west coast, is a busy town throughout the year and is full of amenities, excellent shopping facilities, bars, restaurants and is also home to the country?s second airport. The low-lying scenery around Paphos, much of it cultivated with banana plantations and vineyards are backed by the gentle foothills of the Western Troodos range, has an attractively open quality to it.
